That and a lot of people are too embarrassed to give musicals a chance.

I think there a lot more people out there who'd like them if they sat down and watched instead of making assumptions all the time.

Musicals are such an important and beautiful art. They have to balance their storytelling with logic and a willingness to suspend disbelief while showing emotion, real, TRUE emotion, entirely through song and dance! They have to power through an audience's expectation of reality and hope they can enjoy and want to live in this world where every important event can be surmised in a few lyrics! The talent and the sheer PASSION that goes into these works...!

'Fraid it was, darling. Entertainment wasn't so much of a "thing" where I'm from, at least until I came along. What we had was what the humans threw away. That's how it was for... a while.
