Oliver is by default a living shadow. He appears solid black, like a human shaped void. This form lacks any features save his glowing eyes and his sharp teeth, which are pretty pointless given his lack of need for food in the traditional sense of the word. There's a small round patch on the lower right side of his lower abdomen that resembles white noise that in his solid form translates to scarring. He's permanently surrounded by a foggy aura that changes with his emotion. The fog is thicker while he is feeling more intense emotions, and the colour changes to reflect his mood. Darker shades indicate negative emotions whereas a lighter grey might point towards him being happier.
He has a solid humanoid form, but taking this on for any length of time requires real effort. He has a long way to go before he masters it. Although in many ways he appears his old self while in this form he is still clearly not human. He is translucent with monochrome skin and misty features. His eyes are glowing, undefined orbs. His teeth are sharp. He can bleed in this form and when he does his blood is just as grey as his skin is.
He wears glasses during the day so long as he's in solid form, but thanks to improved night vision he's less likely to wear them after dark even if it might be beneficial. Even though he is very much visible other indicators of his presence are now diminished. His movements are quieter, and his breathing and heart rate are near undetectable. Even his voice has a distant quality to it, particularly in his shadow form.

| | ABILITIES |
- POSSESSION For one hour, once per day, Oliver has the ability to possess someone.
- TELEKINESIS Objects can be moved with his mind, though he still struggles with larger objects unless it's accidental. His control has improved greatly, but when he's in a bad mood it becomes far more volatile and his usages are often involuntary.
- IMPROVED NIGHT VISION As shades are night creatures Oliver can see better in the dark than he can in the light, though he still needs glasses to take full advantage of this. As he struggles with maintaining solid form at the moment he frequently doesn't.
- ELECTRONIC DISTRUPTION Oliver can cause electronics to short circuit or malfunction. At the moment this is mainly triggered by high emotions at either end of the spectrum, but he's starting to get better.
- SHAPESHIFTING While in his shadow form Oliver is able to change his shape. His size changes with his mood. For example, he may be larger when angry or smaller when he's scared by something, though he can also change this by focussing. He can also make minor modifications to his body with concentration. Ever seen shadow puppets? Oliver doesn't need a wall to make those, and his look way more awesome.
- PAIN TRANSFERAL Oliver is able to take pain from others onto himself. This power is limited. He is able to make the pain more bearable, but lacks the ability to take it all himself. He's not 100% sure how to control this, but the more distress he feels on behalf of whoever's in pain the more likely he is to be able to activate it.

| WEAKNESSES |
- VENGEFUL NATURE
Destroy Matt Murdock 2k16. Oliver now has a much harder time letting go of grudges and keeping himself from trying to get revenge.
- LIGHT Oliver will slowly diminish when out in daylight. It doesn't hurt him, but it definitely leaves him feeling weak and the smaller he gets the less real he feels. Prolonged exposure will eventually result in his death.
- DIET Human souls are his
sole only dietary requirement. He is able to take the soul from a person by reaching in and tearing it out of them. If he goes too long without doing this then Oliver gradually loses all sense of self-control.
